To reduce rubbish we shouldn’t make it.

New Year, New Rubbish Habits

Save the date for our Rubbish Event (see poster) for fun with rubbish, for all ages.
We will have rubbish games for young and old; rubbish to swap, buy, repair, repurpose, recycle; enter our Rubbish Art competition (details to follow) to win a much coveted rubbish trophy; enter our rubbish raffle…… all with advice from Maldon District Council and Green Recycling.

Nothing new will be available (well, except some tea and cakes!).

We hope by the end of the event we will all know exactly what to put in our pink recycling bags; have some great ideas of how to reduce rubbish (saving money, too); discovered we love Rubbish Art; cleared the house of some unwanted items; and collected some preloved decorations for next Christmas………as well as, had fun and shed the post-Christmas blues.

But we do need your help and participation, please

Please could you give us your rubbish……
Please could you bring your much loved clothes for us to mend by our ensemble of seamstresses; household items to repair by Men’s Shed (further details to follow); drink cans, for us to recycle; sweet, biscuit and cracker tubs, to enter the TUB2PUB Scheme to raise funds for Macmillan; Christmas decorations, cards and wrapping paper, for others to reuse; unwanted Christmas gifts for the raffle; unwanted small electrical items, for us to recycle; unwanted household paint, for others to reuse or us to recycle; and your fabulous Rubbish Art for entry into the competition (see separate poster).

Bring the rubbish on the day or get in touch for collection.
