If you’re planning to visit the 2nd Tollesbury Art Trail why not stop off at our Community Orchard found at location A, on the Visitors Guide & Map.

Tree Sculpture

Once there discover our tree sculpture, Liquefactio cordis (Melting Heart) by local artist Simon Earney.

Installed in spring 2025, the sculpture celebrates our connection to nature, our local heritage, and our community. Crafted from recycled metal gathered from around Tollesbury including an old railway chair spike from the Crab and Winkle Railway, Victorian fencing from East Street, and angled iron from Garlands Farm.

The beautiful celebration plaques surrounding the sculpture also offer a special opportunity for people to remember and celebrate loved ones, while helping to support the Community Orchard, planted and cared for by the Tollesbury Climate Partnership.

“May this tree inspire connection, reflection, and appreciation for the beauty of nature and community.”

A wonderful example of how local history, creativity, nature, and community can come together to create something truly meaningful and special.

Please note – for everyone’s safety, do not climb on the sculpture.

Arts & Crafts Bring & Buy Sale

Tollesbury Climate Partnership can also be found on the day at The Parish Rooms, where our recycling team will be rehoming any unwanted Arts & Crafts, such as paint, brushes, pencils, canvases, sketch books, wool, knitting needles, knitting patterns, etc.
