Since launching in September 2021, we’ve achieved some incredible things for Tollesbury and the environment — all whilst bringing our community closer together.

Just a few highlights:

• Decarbonising Tollesbury Primary School, we’re leading a multi-million pound project to make the school greener and more energy-efficient
• Planted over 1300 trees throughout the village
• Launched a village wide recycling scheme, which has diverted over 1000kg of waste from landfill
• Ongoing water testing of our local waterways to monitor for pollutants
• Launched Tollesbury Community Orchard
• Apple Day for the past three years.

We are fortunate that we can apply for grants and get support for these projects, but what we struggle to find is funding for our day to day fixed running costs. Despite being a small group we still need essentials such as our insurance, subscriptions and accounts to name a few.

At our last AGM, members suggested that annual donations could help fill this gap — and keep us running strong.
